In the DARPA program, the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) is responsible for the following tasks: (1) to perform gas atomization process modeling for production of amorphous aluminum alloy powder, and (2) to perform selected atomization trials as necessary to develop and validate the atomization process model, and (3) to assist in transitioning optimized powder atomization parameters to powder production facilities used in the program.
