My areas of interest are classical mechanics, control, numerical methods, and open source software. My research is centered around bicycle dynamics and control, and to this end I started an open source project, PyDy, under the Google Summer of Code program. PyDy is a pure Python package that implements Kane’s method to derive the equations of motion for mechanical systems in symbolic form.
